After much anticipation we AJ MUSIC RECORDS are proud to introduce Asha J’s album Diwana the Album. Asha J a singer/songwriter/performer was born and brought up in the UK. Coming from an Asian background with westernized up bringing, she developed her skills in western, reggae, Bollywood and Punjabi music influences. Asha has used these genres to make a very big impact in the making of her universal cross over album.The promos and videos are already attracting worldwide audiences. This album is going to be a ‘must hear’ album for 2009 as it goes for major release late this year.Career history:
Taking the music world by surprise Asha's unique Bollywood and Western style and versatile vocal abilities has gained her worldwide interest she has already been compared to the Hindi Pop sensation Nazia Hussan with her song Diwana. She was given her first break by producer Mr Kuljit Bhambra who released her debut album 'Yours Truly' a few years ago on his label Keda records. She has since worked with many known producers for the new album and has already attracted mainstream renowned producers Ripper Productions who have worldwide reconigtion for many maintstream artists remixes.Asha J has had the pleasure in having his hand on the remix track titled Diwana Remix (Track 13 Diwana Remix) www.myspace.com/ripper-productions.
The last year Asha has been supporting the group Stereo Nation (Taz), who has taken Asha under their wings giving her platform to International fame. Her first shows were in Amsterdam - Holland, Dublin – Ireland, Oslo Norway which attracted an audience of over 90 thousand people! And the throughout the year travelling worldwide; one show hitting the biggest music awards ceremony In Pakistan PTV Music Awards. She has just come back from Canada from a 30 hour non-stop Guinness book of records event. She continues to support the group with her talent worldwide and also now going back and continuing with her solo career.
Future plans
As the album goes for release Asha J is concentrating on performances to promote her album and has already started working on collaborations with interested producers and artists. The first song for her next album is already being composed. After many offers of modelling and film work Asha J also hopes to break into these industries next year.
